Classroom Health and Safety
It is of utmost importance that our family classes are a place where everyone feels accepted and safe. Children are welcome to move around and respond to the music in their own way as long as these ideals are not compromised. Dancing and marching are encouraged. Free running is not allowed as it often becomes an unsafe experience. Should a child exhibit disruptive or aggresive behavior, their adult is asked to please remove the them from the classroom. Make sure your child has eaten before class as food is not allowed in our classroom. Comfort items are welcome in class, please leave all other toys at home or in the car. Cell phones are a distraction and change the dyanamics of class. Please put them away during class.
Please wash hands before and after class. Tissues and hand sanitizer are available in the classroom as needed. It is age appropriate for our littlest to mouth props and instruments, it is one of the ways they learn! Drop mouthed items in the "wet basket" after use, these items are cleaned immediately after class. Clear runny noses are common and can be a result of allergies, teething, etc. If you or your child is sick, please stay home until you are fully recovered. If you or your child has had a fever, you must be fever-free for at least 24 hours (without assistance of fever-reducing medication) before returning to class. If you or your child has thrown up or had diarrhea within the past 24 hours please stay home. If you have knowingly been exposed to influenza or COVID-19, please stay home.
Inclement Weather
Music Together with Mrs. Chrisi follows the Public School District decisions regarding inclement weather. If there are late starts or cancellation, morning classes will be cancelled. Afternoon and evening classes will be determined by 12:00 noon. You can find current information relevant to your class location on the Mercer Island School District, Bellevue School District or Lake Washington School District (Redmond) websites. Every attempt will be made to send notice via email and/or text if/when class is impacted by inclement weather or power outages. If time allows and studio space is available, classes may be rescheduled, but not guaranteed for cancellations out of our control.
Withdrawal Policy
Email notice is required a minimum of one month prior to withdrawal. No additional monthly payments will be due and your prepaid tuition will apply for your final month.
